The discussion centred on the steps and activities required to adjust the teams’ operations and implement the activities outlined in the project. The group reviewed the steps developed by Prof. Veselinovic, which will be given priority in the project implementation. Prof. Veselinovic presented the Letters of Intent drafted by the Municipalities of Kamenica and Partesh and the first Memoranda of Understanding (Mou) to be signed with them and their respective fire department.
LFMWB Project Officer Mrs. Jasminka Pashaliska Andonovska and LFMWB Country Project Staff Mrs. Arlinda Gashi presented their views on urgent matters that needed addressing before proceeding with the specific project activities. These include clarifying the roles of each municipality, initiating budget allocations, and gathering all necessary documentation regarding project roles and application amendments in place.
LFMWB Project Manager, Mr. Cvetan Nikolovski, reiterated that the focus of the whole programme should be on prevention and community engagement, stressing that the long-term impact depends on building local capacity to manage fire risks before they escalate.
The meeting concluded with both the LFMWB Team and QTDI confirming their commitment to implementing this project in a transparent and fair manner, and agreed to collaborate openly and to plan practical work as they move forward with the agreed-upon activities.
