The second phase of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) funded project “Support to Kosovo Police to Improve Communication with the Local Population in Northern Kosovo – Phase II”. began at the end of March and was completed at the end of May 2025, where QTDI and its staff successfully implemented a project in cooperation with EULEX, focused on delivering language courses for members of the Kosovo Police (KP).
The project aimed to bridge the language gap through targeted language training. By improving their communication skills in Serbian, Albanian, and English, the courses enable officers to carry out their duties more effectively and respectfully in a multilingual environment, such as Mitrovica and its region. QTDI partnered with the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), which provided its infrastructure and academic expertise to deliver the training sessions. IBCM’s facilities, combined with tailored curricula and experienced instructors, ensured that the language courses met the practical needs of police officers working in complex field conditions. The courses are expected to strengthen the operational capacity of the Kosovo Police in the north and contribute to more inclusive and effective policing.
This project reflects QTDI’s ongoing commitment to developing practical solutions that support institutional resilience, foster community trust, and promote interethnic communication in Kosovo.
